I finally finished my sweater... now, I must admist I got terrible bored of it, so it took two years to complete.
I knitted it in the round, and had to cut, sew, hem, do button holes, etc.... it was a lot of work, but the result is really nice.
The original pattern asked that you work the leaf pattern on the sleeves, but I felt it would look tacky with having to add stitches, and work them into the design. So I chose to knit it in a solid color, using the most used color from the body of sweater. I also made it a little shorter, as I am not so tall.
This sweater has a lot of details, and I'm happy I finished it.......... though I am pretty sure that my next knitting project will be a little less time consuming.
